According to a ministry of health official Dr. Robert Mudyiradima, the effectiveness of the vaccine will be tested during the rollout process.
This might suggest the Ministry is not sure about the effectiveness of the vaccine prior to it being administered on individuals.
Dr Mudyarima was speaking at the RGM Airport where government officials were witnessing the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccines donated by China.
He also said they hope to have vaccinated 80% of the population by year-end and achieve herd immunity
