171 People Hospitalised Due To COVID-19, 13 In ICU - Govt
171 people were hospitalised due to COVID-19 and 72 of those hospitalised cases were severe with 13 of the 72 in ICU countrywide, this was revealed by the ministry of health which gave the daily COVID-19 hospitalization update and said:
As at 3 February 2021 at 1500 hrs, there are 171 hospitalised cases: asymptomatic 10, mild to moderate 89, severe 59, 13 in Intensive Care Units.
The Ministry also stated that Bulawayo yesterday recorded the highest number of new cases after 58 people tested positive for the infamous virus followed by Harare which had 54 new cases.
However, Harare had the highest number of deaths after recording 8 out of yesterday’s 19 deaths followed by Bulawayo, Mashonaland West, and Midlands which had 3 deaths each.
Meanwhile. the Health Minister yesterday rebutted the Finance Minister’s comments that citizens will pay for the vaccine and said vaccines will be for free.
