WATCH: Student Activist Allan Moyo In A One Man Protest At A Bus Terminus

Student activist Allan Moyo who has been in pretrial detention since 7 December is seen at a terminus in Harare staging a one-man protest and telling people the government has failed the masses. Moyo’s activism and telling crowds that President Mnangagwa has failed got him arrested and he is still in custody 51 Days after his arrest.

Yesterday Justice Chitapi dismissed his bail application case and he will be in detention till his trial. Moyo is a student leader under the Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) is a student at the University of Zimbabwe.

A fellow student has started a free Allan Moyo petition at Change Organisation while #FreeAllanMoyo is gaining momentum on Twitter.

We are going to unleash terror in Harare if Alan Moyo is not to be released in this coming week, for we have been quite for so long whilst the system is destroying our generation , the fact that they are trying to set a bad example to the students by using the leader of the union illegal detention will not go unnoticed . As the students we have the capacity to initiate and execute terror , equally so we have the capacity to initiate and execute peace but we have been choosing the latter for the sake of humanity amidst of covid 19 but the government itself is forcing us to choose the latter for the sake of the democratic agenda of this country through the freedom Of Leader Alan Moyo ..
    I have started a petition if it is not going to work , l will personally staged a peaceful one man demo like what Alan did, in defense of academic freedom .As the students we are giving the government up to this week to release Leader Alan Peacefully either will react constitutionally since ours is a generational mandate .. Release Alan This week please because terror is coming your way …
