A whizkid from Harare’s private school St Georges College attained 20 points in the recently published Cambridge A-Level examination results, ZTN News reports.
According to the publication, Garikayi Gijima who in 2019 came top in the world for A Level Mathematics scored A* in the following subjects:
- Accounting
- Mathematics
- Computer Science
- Further Maths
Speaking to the publication, Gijima said staying focused during the pandemic was challenging. He also said St Georges also had a 100% pass rate and a number of his friends had straight As.
Meanwhile, ZIMSEC is yet to publish Grade 7 form 4 and A-Level examination results. ARTUZ is urging teachers to boycott marking examinations because of the ongoing pandemic.
