China Donates PPE To Zimbabwe A Day After U.S. Availed 20 Ventilators

China has donated an assortment of personal protective equipment (PPE) to help Zimbabwe deal with the deadly COVID-19 second wave.

The donated products were handed over to the Ministry of Health and Child Care officials through the Chinese Embassy in Harare this Friday. The Chinese Embassy said in a statement:

This is 160 000 medical masks, 90 000 N95 masks, 3,300 protective suits, 3,300 shoe covers and 100 infrared thermometers we donated to the Zimbabwean people today.

The second wave is tough, but let’s not lose heart. China and Zimbabwe will stick together and see it through.

The donation from China comes a day after the United States, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), donated 20 brand-new, state-of-the-art ventilators to Solidarity Trust Zimbabwe to help Zimbabweans fight COVID-19.
