Museveni Declared Uganda's Next President
Uganda’s President for the past 34 years Yoweri Museveni has defeated firebrand youthful politician Bobi Wine to become the country’s president for the next 5 years, Aljazeera reports.
According to the publication, Uganda’s election commission declared Museveni the duly elected winner today and said he garnered 5.85 million votes, or 58.64%, while Bobi Wine won 3.48 million votes or 34.83%

The electoral commission declares Yoweri Museveni … elected president of the republic of Uganda
Bobi wine yesterday said he was the elected president at a press conference he said he had video evidence of the government rigging elections.

Meanwhile, the EU in Uganda has said it was impressed with the peaceful and organized elections despite reports on social media that armed state agents surrounded Bobi Wine’s house yesterday. The country voted on Thursday amid an internet and social media blockade ordered by Museveni’s government.
