Admiral Muskwe Impresses On Wycombe Wanderers Debut

England-based Zimbabwean international footballer Admiral Muskwe made an eye-catching debut in Wycombe Wanderers’ 4-1 win over Preston North End on Saturday evening to advance to the next round of the FA cup.

The 22-year-old who joined Wanderers on loan from Leicester City this week, set up Fred Onyedinma for the opening goal in the 3rd minute.

Joe Jacobson (9′), Josh Knight (25′) and Alex Samuel (82′) added to the score to win 4-1 and proceed to the fourth round.

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth was delighted with debutant Admiral Muskwe’s performance. He said:

I thought he had a really assured performance today, his energy levels were brilliant.

He could have scored, I think he’s disappointed he hasn’t scored, but he’s assisted one, been a constant threat and been superb.

Muskwe was later substituted in the 76th minutes for Alex Samuel.

Next up for Wanderers is a league visit to Macauley Bonne’s Queens Park Rangers on the 16th of January.
