Popular Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has shared a post by one Zimbabwean Rudo Muchemwa who is looking for employment as a maid in South Africa despite her being a qualified teacher trained at the University of Zimbabwe. Chino’ono bemoaned Zimbabwe’s economic chaos and blamed such incidences on corruption by government officials

Muchemwa posted in various employment agencies in South Africa that she is a childminder for now and is looking for a part-time job as a maid. Wrote Muchemwa in a Facebook Post:

Chin’ono captioned the post:

Meet Rudo Muchemwa, she is a University of Zimbabwe graduate. She is in South Africa where she is looking for a job as a maid. She is not alone, there are thousands of Zimboz like her. These are victims of ZANUPF’s failures. Their whole lives are gone due to ZANUPF’s corruption

Many Zimbabweans are economic refugees in South Africa. Meanwhile, EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has urged authorities to let people from African countries back into South Africa as he said if they are not let back in, there will be a humanitarian crisis bigger than COVID-19.
