COVID-19 Certified Hospitals In Harare Now Full, Patients Being Taken To Marondera - REPORT

Several prominent businesspeople have reportedly succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours amid indications that almost all Covid certified hospitals in Harare are now full and patients are being transferred to Marondera.

Only one facility in Mt Pleasant is still admitting COVID-19 patients but it is demanding US$2 500 deposit for patient admission.

Freelance journalist Hopewell Chin’ono said he has been alerted about the grim development by a medical doctor who is at the centre of the current crisis. The alert read:

Parirenyatwa, St Anne’s, and Avenues isolation wards are full. There is one facility left in Mt Pleasant and it’s $2500 Deposit for Covid patient admission.

Mask up guys, Harare has NO COVID CERTIFIED FACILITY WITH BEDS AVAILABLE……. Harare hospital is now full and they are now referring patients to Marondera Hospital It is like a real war.

Extremely concerned at the level at which Covid-19 is now killing our citizens. Doctors informed me that all Covid-19 hospital units are full.

Citizens are now dying without getting access to hospitalization. Be vigilant follow Covid-19 precautions at all times: mask up, wash hands!
