MDC Alliance deputy national chairperson Job Sikhala has vowed that this coming year, 2021, will be a year of action.
The firebrand Zengeza West MP said he was undeterred by calls by the government for his supporters to abandon him. Sikhala tweeted:
Despite threats posed by forces of darkness for people to abandon me during the time of need, Zimbabweans spoke out.
This and July 31, were days of my mark as a political player in Zimbabwe in 2020. 2021 I promise, will be do or die. Watch the space.
Sikhala was arrested by armed police in August in the Harare western suburb of Tynwald North in connection with the 31 July protests.
A truckload of policemen armed with AK-47 assault rifles and batons swooped on Sikhala’s hideout and violently arrested him.
Sikhala recently said he has been arrested 64 times for serious crimes but has never been convicted.
