FULL TEXT : Be Prepared To Be Carried To Safety - CPU Issues Warning About Cyclone Chalane

Civil Protection Unit has issued the following warning to people in areas that might be affected by Cyclone Chalane. In the warning the CPU urged people to stay prepared for anything and said:

1. Let us stay ready to be temporarily relocated to areas with higher terrain in case we are hit by Cyclone Chalane
2. Let us  be ready to be ferried to safety
3. Let us  be prepared to be carried together with our valuables to safety
4. Chiefs must spread the news of the Cyclone to the public.
5. Listen to updates from the Weather Departments at all times.

Cyclone Chalane is expected to hit parts of Mozambique and Madagascar and the Met Department said it will update the nation as it is monitoring the cyclone for now.
