Renowned journalist and Zimbabwe Union of Journalists secretary-general Foster Dongozi has died, The Herald reports. Dongozi reportedly succumbed to a heart ailment at Parirenyatwa hospital where he was admitted in Harare this evening. Condolence messages are starting to pour in for the late Dongozi especially from members of the press and his colleagues.

Burial arrangements are yet to be announced we will update this article if new details emerge. Meanwhile Charles Laiton a Newsday reporter died on Monday and Tendai Ndemera yet another journalist died on Tuesday plunging the industry into mourning since the turn of the new week.
