There was an explosion in the morning at the Engen oil refinery in Durban today. 1 person was injured and 6 people were treated after they inhaled smoke during the explosion. The cause of the incident is still not known. KwaZulu-Natal emergency services spokesperson Robert McKenzie confirmed the incident and said a block of flats across from the refinery also caught fire after the explosion and the fire was extinguished by 8.45 AM today.
