Zimbabwe Might Be On The Radar Of The New US To The UN Envoy - David Coltart

David Colart, The MDC Alliance Treasury General has welcomed the move by American President-Elect Joe Biden to appoint Linda Thomas-Greenfield a fierce human rights defender as the new US ambassador to the United Nations, Newsday reports.

Commenting on Thomas-Greenfield’s appointment, David Coltart said her appointment will put Zimbabwe on her radar:

I don’t know what she is going to do. The main point is that she is sympathetic to human rights issues. Her appointment definitely puts Zimbabwe on her radar since she has an understanding of the ongoing persecution of journalists, opposition activists and human rights defenders,

Thomas Greenfield after the coup that got rid of Robert Mugabe and ushered in Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration wrote an article about the coup titled, Zimbabwe’s Coup: Net Gain Or No Gain which sought to understand if the coup was beneficial to Zimbabwe or not.
