WATCH: AFCON Highlights Zimbabwe 2-2 Algeria

The Warriors came from 2 goals down to snatch a point in a Group H Total Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria at the National Sports Stadium on Monday and boost their hopes of qualifying for the 2021 AFCON finals.

Zimbabwe fell behind when Andy Delort found himself unmarked from an in-swinging cross from the right. His bullet header arrowed past Talbert Shumba, who started in the absence of the injured Elvis Chipezeze.

On 38 minutes, Riyad Mahrez brilliantly brought a cross-field pass under his spell, outfoxed Notts County left-back Adam Chicksen and fired past Shumba to make it 2-0 for the Desert Foxes.

On 42 minutes, Warriors captain Knowledge Musona fired a freekick into the top corner having hit the crossbar a minute earlier.

Prince Dube, who had just come on for right-back Tendayi Darikwa in the 81st minute equalised for the Warriors after his shot from a corner slipped through Rais Mbolhi’s fingers and trickled over the line.
