Full Text: Public Service Commission Statement on Civil Servants’ COLA & Bonus

RESOLUTIONS OF THE NATIONAL JOINT NEGOTIATING COUNCIL (NJNC) MEETING HELD ON THE 16TH OF NOVEMBER 2020

The Public Service Commission is pleased to advise that Government and Government workers’ representatives, meeting in the National Joint Negotiating Council, have agreed on a cost of Living Adjustment effective 1 November 2020.

They also agreed on payment modalities for the 2020 annual bonus, which will be paid in two phases, the first in November 2020 and the second in December 2020.

Government and its workers will continue to engage in order to continuously improve conditions of service in tandem with improvements in the economy and in revenue performance.

Discussions in the NJNC were characterised by encouragingly constructive and frank engagements, and by a realistic appreciation of both opportunities and constraints to be factored into the discourse.

Government appreciated the commitment made by its workers to render the full and comprehensive services that the citizens of Zimbabwe expect and deserve.

The Government reiterates its commitment to continuous and fruitful dialogue with its workers in order to improve conditions of service for its valued workforce.
