Zdravko Logarusic Bullish Ahead Of Algeria Match

The Warriors head coach Zdravko Logarusic has expressed confidence ahead of tomorrow’s Group H AFCON qualifier against Algeria set for the National Sports Stadium.

Speaking after the Warriors held their final training session this Sunday at the National Sports Stadium, Logarusic said history means nothing and his group of elite players have the opportunity to write their own history. He said;

History means nothing, yes they are the African champions and haven’t lost in more than 20 games but come tomorrow we are going to change that and break that history, we need to make our own history. Why should we fail when we have Khama, Tino, Knowledge, Nakamba and many others.

However, the Warriors will not be able to call upon the 12th man as fans will not be allowed into the stadium due to coronavirus restrictions.

Zimbabwe lost 3-1 in Algiers on Thursday night, with the consolation goal scored by France-based striker Tino Kadewere who appeared offside in the build-up to the goal.
