Zimondi Officially Hands Over Reins At ZPCS

Retired Major General Paradzai Zimondi has officially handed over the reins at the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS), to incoming Commissioner-General Moses Chihobvu.

Zimhondi was forced to go on three months of pre-retirement leave after 22 years at the helm of the country’s prisons.

His successor becomes the substantive head of the service with effect from November 1 (tomorrow). Speaking at the handover-takeover ceremony conducted at the depots’ parade square in Ntabazinduna, Zimhondi said:

Growth and change are inevitable. When the time has come one must go. I have selflessly served my nation. The time has come for me to retire into civilian life.

Incoming Commissioner-General Moses Chihobvu pledged to build on his predecessor’s achievements to promote the country’s Vision 2030.
