Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane has reached his second CAF Champions League final after guiding Al Ahly to a 5-1 aggregate win over Wydad Casablanca at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday night.
The Egyptian side went into the encounter with a 2-0 advantage and did enough to reach the final stage after winning 3-1 last night.
The Red Devils will take on the winner between Zamalek and Raja Casablanca, scheduled for Saturday night, in the final set for November 6.
Al Ahly has won the competition eight times and last tasted the title in 2013.
Mosimane resigned from Sundowns last month after winning the treble with the club to take the reins at the Egyptian giants.
Reports suggest Mosimane’s main objective in moving to North Africa was to win the CAF African Champions League title again.
