ZIFA Appoints Basera As Mighty Warriors Team Manager

The Zimbabwe Football Association has appointed Ms Tafadzwa Basera as the Team Manager for the senior women’s team, the Mighty Warriors. This was announced in the association’s statement issued on the 22nd of October 2020. We present the statement in full below.

The Zimbabwe Football Association hereby confirms the appointment of Ms Tafadzwa Alleta Basera as the Team Manager of the national senior women team. The appointment is with immediate effect, and she will work with the Association on an ad-hoc basis. She replaces Charity Mudzviti.

Basera will be responsible for logistical and welfare issues of the Mighty Warriors and will work closely with the General Manager of all national teams. Wellington Mpandare.

Basera, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Harare City Football Club. brings vast experience to the women’s game and the association. She has been working with the Association in various capacities since 2013.

A graduate of the prestigious Advanced Diploma in Management of Olympic Sport Organisations from Olympic Solidarity, Basera is a versatile football Administrator par excellence. She is also studying for a degree in Sports Management.
