Award-winning journalist Hopewell Chinn’ono told police officers who had come to arrest him on the 20th of July this year that the state was persecuting him for fighting corruption which had caused untold suffering to the general populace. Chinn’ono was arrested and charged with incitement of public violence after urging the masses to participate in the foiled 31 July anti-corruption protests. Watch the video below for more.
