Sweswe Departure Creates Fissures In The FC Platinum Camp – Report

The departure of the FC Platinum assistant Coach Lizwe Sweswe has reportedly divided the FC Platinum camp as reports of some members of the executive not being happy with the decision emerge, the Chronicle reports.

A source close to the developments told the publication that:

The decision was clearly not well thought out by the executive. Yes it’s true that all coaches want to work with their trusted lieutenants, it’s the norm worldwide, but he (De Jongh) ought to have been made aware before signing a contract with the club that Sweswe will be his assistant.

Talk within the club corridors seems to suggest that the coach never had a problem working with Sweswe and was, in fact, prepared, but upon meeting the rest of the technical team, someone misinformed him about Sweswe. What we can tell you is that this decision has divided opinion,

FC Platinum supporters were also not happy with Sweswe’s departure as some of them reportedly tweeted that whoever gets Sweswe was going to win the league title next.

Reports that Highlanders and CAPS United are interested in Sweswe have been circulating but Sweswe refused to name the clubs that are interested in him as he said he is taking some time off to spend time with his family.
