Philip Chiyangwa's Farm Invaded

Over 150 illegal settlers have re[ortedly invaded the farm belonging to business tycoon and Zanu PF Zvimba South legislator Cde Philip Chiyangwa.

The former ZIFA president told The Herald in an interview that he had approached the courts to have the settlers evicted from his 3 467 hectare citrus farm near Chinhoyi.

The Herald reports that the defiant settlers are erecting structures and clearing land in preparation for the 2020-21 farming season. Speaking the state-run publication, Chiyangwa said:

We have taken the matter to the courts and the invaders have been served with notices of vacation. A security company dealing with the invaders will help remove the invaders from the farm.

Reports of illegal settlers or farm invaders have been on the rise with some doing so for purposes of illegal gold panning.
