Man Sets Brother's Hut Ablaze Killing Toddler
A Sanyati man has been arrested after setting ablaze his brother’s hut where two children were sleeping, killing one of them.
NewZimbabwe reports that the man identified as Roy Mutunami (43) of Village 44 under Chief Neuso went to his young brother’s homestead and found him not there.
The incident was confirmed by Mashonaland West acting police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Ian Kohwera confirmed the incident who said when the accused arrived at the homestead there were three minor children aged 10, two, and one. Kohwera said:
The 10-year-old was outside while the other young ones were asleep in a thatched bedroom. The two minors were awakened by the fire.
The other minor managed to escape unharmed while the other who had been severely burnt only managed to crawl to and died.

The motive of the crime is yet to be established.
Assistant Inspector Kohwera Kohwera described the incident as shocking and appealed to the public to try to solve problems amicably since violence, particularly murder can only worsen issues.
