President Mnangagwa Sends Message To The Trumps

President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Friday sent a message in solidarity with the United States President Donald Trump who tested positive for the coronavirus.

Trump announced on Friday that he and his wife Melania had tested positive to the virus and were now in quarantine.

Responding to the news, President Mnangagwa posted on Twitter wishing his American counterpart speedy recovery. He tweeted:

My best wishes to President Trump @realdonaldtrump and the First Lady @FLOTUS as they make a full recovery from Covid-19.

Statistics from Johns Hopkins University suggest that over 34 million people have so far contracted the virus globally while over one million deaths have been recorded.

The United States has more coronavirus cases and deaths.

Trump tests positive ahead of the U.S. election that is due in a few weeks’time.

The outbreak of the pandemic has reduced Trump’s chances of retaining the post as many feel that he did not manage the pandemic well.
