A Blast From The Past : "The T In MDC T Stands For Thokozani, Ditch Her, Tsvangirayi Gave Us MDC Alliance" - Komichi

A video of court resurrected MDC T 2014 structures Vice Chairman Morgen Komichi in which he mocks Thokozani Khupe has surfaced. In the undated video which might have been taken in 2018 before the elections, Komichi says as translated by Nehanda Radio:

Morgan Tsvangirai left us with the MDC Alliance after he realised that there would be problems. Now rebellious Thokozani Khupe has taken the MDC-T. The letter “T” represents her. Leave her alone because it’s a bogus party. Tsvangirai had to unite Biti, Ncube, Mutambara, Ngarivhume and Zanu Ndonga to form the existing MDC Alliance. It was not going to be easy to fight Zanu PF in Court if we did not have the alliance,”

Over the weekend Komichi said the party led by Khupe will go to the elections as MDC Alliance and not as the MDC T. MDC Alliance is a party led by the youthful politician Nelson Chamisa.
