On Sunday we published a breaking story that we had aggregated from The Zimbabwean that MDC T interim leader Thokozani Khupe will be sworn in as the official leader of the opposition today 15 September 2020.
This tuned out to be fake news or unverified news because a) The Zimbabwean took down the article we had aggregated the story from, b) the Ministry of information secretary Nick Mangwana said he has no idea about anything of that sort when we contacted him.
We as aggregators use other publications as our main source of our news summaries, and we trusted our source on the issue and unfortunately carried over any mistake they might have made in writing the article and for that, we want to apologise to our readers.
We also want to apologise to MDC T interim leader Thokozani Khupe who might have suffered a backlash from people who felt aggrieved by the contents of the article.
