Zimbabwe National Roads Administration has released the following statement after ZRP urged motorists to go and get permanent plates from the Central Vehicle Registration because they will be impounding any car that doesn’t display permanent plates. ZINARA invited motorists to come register their vehicles to avoid any inconveniences in the following statement:
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) issu. a Pm. Statement on 08 September, 2020 imploring motorists driving cars displaying temporary number plates for 2019 and backwards to visit the .n.I Vehicle Registry (CVR) offices and acquire original number plates with immediate effect. In this regard, the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) would also like to urge these vehicle owners to regularise that registration and licensing to avoid penalty accruals and any associated inconveniences when passing through our tollgates countrywide.
To license a newly registered vehicle, please visit any ZINARA or ZIMPOST offices country wide with the following:
- Original registration book
- Photocopy of the registration book
- Insurance cover note
