Nelson Chamisa, the leader of opposition MDC Alliance is currently addressing the nation with regards to the country’s socio-economic and political crises.
The country’s economic and humanitarian and political crises which preceded the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic have worsened in the recent past.
On the humanitarian side, stakeholders including the World Food Programme and the United Nations Children’s Fund are partnering the government in mobilising resources to curb the crisis that is expected to drag to 2021 or yonder.
The international community has also raised concern over reports of human rights violations by suspected state security agents.
The government, however, refutes the claims that it is behind the abuses and the extent of abuses reported.
