Hopewell's Incarceration Might Be A Blessing In Disguise - Temba Mliswa

Norton legislator and outspoken politician Temba Mliswa has said journalist Hopewell Chin’ono’s prison stay might have been a blessing in disguise, New Zimbabwe reports. Mliswa said it might as well be God’s plan to keep Chin’ono away from his enemies while he is in prison.

Using the microblogging site Twitter, Chin’ono said:

#Hope4Hopewell from past experience I’ve learnt that sometimes God allows you to be in prison to save you from your enemies outside. Whilst it’s not a pleasant experience, there is a reason for everything. The threat inside is sometimes less than the threat beyond.

Politically connected Mliswa did not shed more light on his message which seemed encrypted, Chin’ono was arrested on allegation of inciting public violence on 20 July and he has been denied bail more than once and his lawyer Beatrice Mtwtwa was yesterday barred from representing the journalist on allegations by the state that she scandalised the court.
