Zanu PF Planning To Flush Out Party Members Dealing With G40 Members

The ruling party has promised and sent a stern warning to party members purported to be dealing with members of the now-defunct G40, Daily News reports. This was revealed by Zanu PF security secretary in the politburo Lovemore Matuke who spoke to the Daily News and said:

Yes, there are some people in the party who are working with G40. We are going to flush them out… As the party’s security department we are on high alert. We will flush out the G40 culprits and this is not going to affect the party.
They are trying to take advantage of the economy and the drought, which I can assure that the president is going to address soon. Sanctions are affecting us, the president is also dealing with corruption, and so people must wait…we are in the right direction. We should fight to resolve the challenges, not to fight for positions.
The revelations came a few short weeks after the ruling party reportedly started an exercise to flush out members of their party who were reportedly involved in planning 31 July protests with opposition party elements and CSOs.
