President Mnangagwa Emphasises Importance Of Making Zim Roads Match Regional Road Standards

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has underscored the importance of rehabilitating Zimbabwean roads to match regional road standards.

He made the remarks on Friday in Bubi Matebeleland South Province where he was the guest of honour at the commissioning of road works being done along the Harare – Beitbridge Highway. The president said:

By 2022, the entire road from Harare to Beitbridge will be complete with certain sections dualized, when we finish the second stretch we want the entire road dualized.

It is imperative to have infrastructure so as to be able to match regional road standards, so I can confidently say we are on course now.

Speaking at the same event, Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Engineer Joel Biggie Matiza who was also part of the entourage expressed satisfaction and confidence that Fossil Construction Company will execute the task at hand highlighting that they have a pool of expertise.
