"By Our Standards, Malema Is A Puny," - ZANU PF Youths Respond To Comments On Human Rights Abuses In Zimbabwe

ZANU PF Youth League has said Julius Malema of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is not qualified to comment on human rights abuses and the compensation of white farmers in Zimbabwe.

Malema had called for the closure of the Zimbabwean Embassy in South Africa over the crackdown on dissent in Zimbabwe. In response, the ZANU PF Acting Deputy Secretary for Youth Affairs Tendai Chirau said:

Zimbabwe is a sovereign state with a democratically elected government under the leadership of His Excellency Cde E.D Mnangagwa and as such, will not brook any interference from puppets and their handlers. By our standards, Mr Malema is a puny, absolute political nonentity whose nostalgia for his wasted glory days with the ANC has pushed him into bed with the equally disgraced G40 clique of charlatans…

Chirau echoed remarks by Linda Masarira of opposition LEAD that Malema should rather work to end Afrophobia in South Africa that has left many foreign Africans dead.

Meanwhile, a law lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, Fadzayi Mahere has said under the African Charter, other countries have the right to speak against human rights abuses in member countries.
