Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube has officially signed a US$3,5 billion compensation agreement with dispossessed white farmers under land reform.
The compensation is not for the land itself.

The issue has been outstanding since two decades ago when the state authorised the violent grabbing of land from then-owners – white farmers.
The land reform programme soiled Zimbabwe’s relations with the Western international community with the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union and their allies imposing sanctions on the country’s ruling party, companies and individuals linked to it and senior officials.

A positive step? Hopefully the new ones can start feeding the nation now, or are they going to be on such small patches, they can only feed themselves? Time will tell… It’ll also be interesting to find out what happened to al those farm workers chased off those farms, as well as those who were murdered during this chaos? Anyone know of if those murderers were ever caught and convicted?
I wonder why all of us Zimbabweans we ought to recompense as if all of us grabbed the white man property. those who grabbed are there and they are alive. the government should audit them and they should pay back. nxaaaah
It all talk and smoke they don’t have the money and the likelihood of any one receiving any thing won’t happen until all the effected victims are dead this is just a ccp propaganda method to make it look like the junta is making amends to the blind international money donators
The money has to come from somewhere and the junta ruined the economy and has it all tied up all the forex to themselves ,they will never forfill this obligation in the true sense
