US Govt Summons Zimbabwean Ambassador To The US To Explain Chinamasa's "Not Surprising But Deeply Offensive" Comments

Assistant Secretary for U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of African Affairs, Tibo Nagy has revealed that the US government has summoned the Zimbabwean Ambassador to the United States to explain Zanu PF spokesperson Patrick Chinamasa’s press conference in which he labelled AMbassador Brian Nichols a thug before threatening to expel him.

Calling Chinamasa’s comments deeply offensive, Mr Nagy used his official Twitter handle and said:

Zanu PF and the government are yet to respond to Secretary Nagy. Patrick Chinamasa has been trending on Twitter since his infamous press conference in which he also urged Zanu PF people to defend themselves from protestors yesterday.
