WATCH: Govt Speaks On The Arrest Of Chin'ono And Ngarivhume

The minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa on Saturday spoke on the arrest of prominent journalist Hopewell Chin’ono and opposition leader Jacob Ngarivhume of Transform Zimbabwe.

The duo was arrested on Monday for rallying the citizenry to participate in anti-government protests slated for the 31st of this month.

Mutsvangwa said the two were not arrested for exposing corruption by government officials but for trying to dislodge a constitutionally established government.

She added that a number of publications and journalists had spoken on corruption in the country but had not been arrested.
