Speaker Of Parliament Jacob Mudenda has said he does not enjoy recalling MPs from parliament and emphasised that he recalls MPs only because he is following the constitution, Newsday reports.
Mudenda made these remarks in Mutare at a Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines Mining Development meeting on Thursday. Possibly addressing rumours and accusations from the MDC Alliance that he is working with the Khupe led faction to decimate the Nelson Chamisa led party, Mudenda said:
I don’t enjoy reading recall letters in Parliament. It is not within me to read that, but I am just following the Constitution, I think you get me.
The MDC T has recalled 21 legislators since the Supreme Court ruling that declared that Khupe was the legitimate MDC T leader.
