One person, the passenger, has died on the spot while the driver sustained serious injuries in a road accident that happened outside Gweru.
The Herald reports that a blue Toyota Mark X they were travelling in rammed the back of a haulage truck about 3 km outside Gweru along the Gweru-Kwekwe highway on Friday morning.
The state-run publication’s crew went to the scene and found the injured driver still calling for help under the haulage truck.
It reportedly took about 30 minutes for passersby and recovery crews to pull out the Toyota wreckage from under the haulage truck trailer.
