President Emmerson Mnangagwa has hinted he will impose tighter regulations to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Speaking at State House this Wednesday where he received various COVID-19 essentials from several corporates, he said:
Initially, I declared a National Lockdown because we were on a very weak platform to fight the pandemic. When the machinery to capacitate our systems began to work, I relaxed the systems as recommended by WHO. But now with the surge, I am likely to impose further restrictions.
