Mwonzora's MDC-T Is Exactly What ZANU PF Needs - Davis Laque {Full Thread}

] So the key message from the eNCA interview Douglas Mwonzora’s supporters literally demanded was pro-ZanuPF propaganda? DM attracted more Zanu acceptance with his “rational disputation”. He then attempted to erode Chamisa’s credibility by claiming the former was planning a revolution.

] I already tweeted about the logic behind that madness. Chamisa makes Zanu uncomfortable. Mwonzora doesn’t. Sometime in 2008, Mugabe attacked the Opposition for “wanting what it doesn’t deserve”. This Mwonzora-led MDC is what Zanu prefers & will always support.

] I do not immediately know what Chamisa has done in line with planning some revolution. Perhaps Mwonzora is spending too much time with Linda. Chamisa has actually been attacked by his own supporters for showing restraint over ever-growing calls for a ZanuPF confrontation.

] For a lawyer to then go on international media to fake maturity is embarrassing. Equally enjoyed that Mwonzora-Magaisa exchange. ZanuPF has no interest in genuine discourse nor “rational disputation”. You don’t negotiate with a tiger when your head is in its mouth.

] ZanuPF is simply interested in power retention. Even stupid people can see the glaring link between ZANUPF’s attitude towards the MDC-A now, and the actual outcome of the 2018 elections. The MDC-A by ZanuPF standards “got what it doesn’t deserve” i.e. an electoral win.

] The other opposition, MDC-T, by ZanuPF standards, “got what it deserved”, a paltry 45 000 votes. ZanuPF prefers the weak but needs both parties. Through courts & Parly, Zanu is transferring MDC-T’s weaknesses to the MDC-A. After all, Zanu will always need an [opposition party] to blame.

] I also hear that MDC-T will use the MDC-A name during bi-elections. So if MDC-A is a coalition, who are its current coalition partners? Since 2018, the other parties being engaged now had dissociated themselves from it. If its a party, what business does MDC-T have with it?

] And again, spare a thought for Dr Khupe. A man who sells his neighbour should not be trusted by the buyer. She involved herself with people who abandoned her in 2018. The same people who since then, were conniving against the man they went with. Why then did she trust them?

] Which “rational disputation” is DM using by sanitizing giving MDC-A officials a 2018 competitor as President? Where is the maturity & respect from freedom of choice when recalling Legislators who have sided with Chamisa? Where is the constitutionality of unilateral recalls?

] I for one have enjoyed watching the Mwonzora and/or MDC-T pressers. They keep exposing themselves. Give Mwonzora more microphones and speakers. This lockdown will surely be the death of many political careers. Eventually, the real party stakeholders will speak.

] But the MDC-A cannot sit & sulk all the way to 2023. ZanuPF is positioning political institutions in accordance with their preferences. ZanuPF is creating the [opposition] in its own image. MDC-A needs to fight back. Chamisa needs to show that he has teeth, & they can bite.
