Zanu PF Youth League Launches A Schools Solar Installation Scheme For Makoni North Constituency

The Zanu Pf Youth League has reportedly launched a sollar installation scheme for schools and they are targeting schools in Makoni North Constituency, ZBC News reports. The matter came to light yesterday as the youth league launched the project when Zanu PF Manicaland Provincial Youth League Chairperson Tawanda Mukodza said:

As Zanu PF Youth League we have launched a solar electrification programme at Hangaiwa primary school in Makoni North in line with President Mnangagwa’s vision to uplift the standards of living for the people and catapult the country into an upper-middle-income economy by 2030. The initiative will benefit both the students and the local community.

We are targeting sixteen schools in Makoni North constituency. Every ward will have two schools that will be electrified. We have set a target of three years to complete this project. This is in line with the vision by
President Mnangagwa on ensuring development reaches all corners of the country.

One of the schools that benefited from the scheme, Hangaiwa primary Senior Teacher Mr Terry Thomas said they were happy with the initiative and said:

We are happy as a school that the challenges to switch to the new curriculum will be eliminated through the use of modern technology and internet connectivity. The development will not only assist the students but the entire community with services such as photocopying now being done locally.
