Airlines Making Plans To Resume Flights Into The Country - CAAZ

Regional and International airlines are concluding the modalities that will see them resume flight in the country in the next few weeks as the world starts to return to its normal operations under strict restrictions after months of COVID-19 lockdowns, The Sunday Mail reports.

This was revealed by CAAZ acting director-general Margaret Mathiziba who spoke to the publication and said:

The figures are not good because there was a total shutdown for the sector as countries closed their borders. There was absolutely no movement at all. There is an opening now beginning to be seen and some airlines that used to fly here are now starting to make plans on how they can resume flights into the country. Eventually, we should see all flights resuming though it may take time and there is going to be a new normal

However, the government has not yet opened the tourism sector for business as the sector is still finalising on the safety measures and how they can safely operate to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
