10 Returnees Test Positive For Coronavirus, Cumulative Total Now 561

Zimbabwe’s confirmed COVID-19 cases have risen to 561 after returnees from South Africa (8) and Mozambique (2) tested positive for the coronavirus on Friday.

In its daily COVID-19 update for 26 June 2020, the Ministry of Health and Child Care also revealed that 7 recoveries were reported by Harare Province and Manicaland. The report read:

Ten (10) cases tested positive for COVID-19 today. These are returnees from South Africa (8), and Mozambique (2) and are all isolated.

Recoveries were reported by Harare Province (6) and Manicaland (1).

Today 104 RDT screening tests and 489 PCR diagnostic tests were done. The cumulative number of tests done to date is 65 704 (36 527 RDT and 29 177 PCR).

To date the total number of confirmed cases is 561; recovered 135, active cases 420 and 6 deaths, since the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020.
