Returnees At Quarantine Facilities Drinking Sanitizers To Quench Their Alcohol Thirst - Report

Some returnees at different quarantine facilities are jeopardising their health by ingesting hand sanitizers as they cannot get hold of any alcoholic beverages, Kwayedza reports.

According to the publication, this was revealed by a Twitter user COVID Prisoner who said some people at a quarantine facility in Bulawayo were drinking hand sanitizers hoping it will tranquillize them and also kill the virus at the same time.

According to the publication, COVID Prisoner said:

Nhasi ndaona varume vechidiki avo vanga vakakoriwa kudhakwa nesanitiser yemaoko. Mumwe wavo ataura chokwadi. Ati ndoda kuuraya coronavirus kana iri pahuro pangu, zvichida ndine hutachiona. ( Today i saw young men drunk after drinking hand sanitizer. One of them spoke his truth and said he wanted to kill the virus in case he is infected)
