ZRP Hunting For Two Malawi Nationals Who Escaped Quarantine After Testing Positive For COVID-19

Two people believed to be Malawi nationals have escaped from NASSA Hotel in Beitbridge where they were held for mandatory quarantine.

The duo escaped on Monday after testing positive for coronavirus binging the number of people who have escaped from quarantine centres to 184 countrywide.

Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Republic Police has launched a manhunt to bring all who escaped back into quarantine centres. National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said:

Two Malawians escaped from NSSA Hotel, Beitbridge after testing positive for the Covid-19 virus. The cumulative number of escapees is now 184 while those arrested remain at 28.

The escapees are going into and hiding in communities with less suspecting people thereby putting the whole nation in danger.
