ZIFA & PSL Still Mum On The Resumption Of Football

Zimbabwe Football Association and Premier Soccer League have both remained mum on when local football will resume after it was suspended because of the COVID-19 outbreak, Sportbrief reports.

When asked about the resumption of football, ZIFA Spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela said they were waiting for the green light from the government and they were not aware of any players who have not received their salaries:

We are guided by government policy and we haven’t received any complaint yet.

Many players lost their income due to the suspension of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, Tanzania has allowed football to resume while South Africa has allowed training to resume until its safe to resume football.
