Obadiah Moyo Did Not Sleep At The Police Station - Report

The Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr Obadiah Moyo reportedly did not sleep in police custody last night thereby raising suspicion on his arrest for alleged abuse of coronavirus relief funds.

It has been alleged that President Mnangagwa instructed that Moyo must be released from police custody after he was arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC).

ZACC confirmed the arrest adding that Moyo will appear before the courts this Saturday.

These remarks were echoed by award-winning Zimbabwean journalist, Hopewell Chin’ono who posted on Facebook saying:

So he was arrested and he didn’t sleep at the police station like everyone else!‬

‪This shows you that this is a choreographed show to placate you because Obadiah Moyo was not alone, he represents his masters!‬

‪Mnangagwa is not bothered about corruption and LOOTING at all!

Remember ‪I said don’t celebrate yet!‬!

The development comes when some are implicating President Mnangagwa’s family in the alleged loot, a factor that is reportedly making the president drag his feet in fighting corruption in the country.

Recent reports of corruption have triggered public outrage and a debate over the government’s seriousness in fighting corruption with government officials including Nick Mangagwana reiterating that Mnangagwa is committed to fighting the rot.
