Harare Lawyers Tapiwa Makanza and Joshua Chirambwe were yesterday released on $ 20 000 bail each by Harare Magistrate Crispen Mberewere, New Zimbabwe reports.
The two who are jointly charged with MDC leader Nelson Chamisa’s lawyer Thabani Mpofu and Choice Damiso are accused of forging an affidavit of one Simbabrashe Zuze who investigators are saying he doesn’t exist who was challenging the appointment of Prosecutor-General Kumbirai Hodzi last year.
Mberewere ordered Makanza and Chirambwe to report once every Friday at Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission until the matter is finalised.
Meanwhile, Simbarashe Zuze has surfaced and recorded a statement telling the world that he indeed instructed his lawyer Makanza to challenge the appointment of Hodzi.
