The government of Malawi will reportedly repatriate 90 Malawian Citizens out of Zimbabwe’s quarantine facilities, New Zimbabwe reports.
This was confirmed by Malawi Ambassador Zimbabwe Annie Kumwenda who said:
We are processing travel documents for a group of 41 Malawians that were intercepted by security forces on their way to South Africa
The group of 41 Malawians would be deported alongside a group of other immigrants already held at Zimbabwe’s isolation centres.
The ambassador was reportedly responding to reports that 14 Malawians had gone on a hunger strike after they were isolated at a quarantine facility in Masvingo
