The President of Zambia, Edgar Lungu, has opened the Victoria Falls to public touring despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Zambian publication, Mwebantu, posted pictures today of the president touring the Zambian side of Victoria Falls.

The Zimbabwean side remains closed since the first lockdown that started on 30 March.

On Sunday, Zambia authorities reported that the country had recorded 100 cases of the novel coronavirus within twenty-four hours. This came immediately after that Edgar Lungu announced the reopening of the economy.
